There are many opportunities for Adult Bible Study at St. John's.
Weekly Bible Studies
Monday: 10:00 -11:30 a.m. Adult Bible Study in the Smith Building.
This lay-led group uses the Augsburg Adult Adult bible Studies
Tuesday: 7:00-8:00 p.m. Men's Bible Study in the Youth Room
This pastor and lay-led group is currently involved in a topical Bible Study called, "Justice for the Poor: Love God, Serve People, Change the World." Produced by Sojourners.
Wednesday: 6:00-7:30 p.m. Women's Bible Study in the Smith Building
This is a lay-led group and they will begin a new Bible Study on Genesis on January 18th.
Sunday: 9:30-10:30 a.m. Adult Bible Forum. This group meets in the Fellowship Hall between services and is currently involved in a study of Christian History From Acts to America. This study is pastor led.
Monthly Bible Studies
The Third Tuesday of the Month Noon-2:00 p.m. The WELCA Ascension Circle is a lay-led Women's Bible Study in the Smith Building. They are currently studying the Gospel of Mark.
The Second Tuesday of the Month 7:00-8:30 p.m. The WELCA Trinity Circle is another women's Bible study which meets in the Smith Building and uses the women’s Bible study found in the magazine, “GATHER” (formerly known as ‘The Lutheran Woman’).
The First and Third Sundays of the Month: 1:00-2:30 the Young Adults meet at the Parsonage. They are currently involved in a topical study, Why Christian? Why Church?
