St. John's Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). ​We are part of the Delaware-Maryland Synod of the ELCA. Click the links below to learn more!

Working together to live into God's call, St. John's: 

  • Packs lunches every week for over 25 kids experiencing food insecurity
  • Has over 15 ministry teams
  • Partners with Community Action Network
  • Offers 5 weekly and monthly Bible Study opportunities
  • Hosts 8 different groups such as AA, ALANON, SOS, and Impact DUI
  • Has 5 Music groups spanning all ages
  • Collects food weekly for the local food pantry
  • Has a quilting group that meets weekly to make blankets for those in need
  • Supports veterans and has a monthly collection to support veterans’ programs
  •  Visits homebound members and brings them Communion
  • Makes “Blessing Bags” to give to those experiencing homelessness
  • Prays for the world, our country, our neighbors in Parkville and Baltimore County, and all those in need
  • Partners with Hiss UMC and St. Ursula's Catholic Church for ecumenical worship
  • Has over 20 volunteer lay worship leaders every Sunday
